Local agriculture has jumped onto the Kootenay scene in a big way with successful farmers markets, public produce gardens and an interest in homesteading and organics. Young Agrarians in hosting the Rockstar Farmer Tour, which will have Fortier visiting Nelson, Cranbrook and Kimberley.

“If you’re serious about farming, I urge you to attend Jean-Martin Fortier’s workshops while he’s in B.C. I have toured farms all over the west coast of North America, and I have yet to see anyone compare in production methods, soil management, crop health, product quality, and most importantly a balanced lifestyle. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet one of the most cutting edge organic farmers of our time,” said Curtis Stone, a farmer from Green City Acres in Kelowna. -Wildsight

Fortier will be teaching how to garden both productively and profitably, mixing business sense with growing information.
