Focus Corporation, with four offices in the Kootenays (located in Rossland, Cranbrook, Invermere and Golden) has been acquired by WSP, a Canadian multinational professional services firm. The deal was completed January 1, 2015. WSP delivers engineering, planning and legal surveying services for municipal, transportation, industrial and land development clients. Elise Paré, who moved from the Golden office to open the Rossland office in 2010, has worked on water use efficiency plans with 24 communities within the Columbia Basin and said her company can help the many municipalities that are facing large infrastructure projects. Paré said she enjoys “living in a region filled with world-class outdoor recreation.”
