Kootenay Lake Medical Clinic switches to electronic medical records

The Kootenay Lake Medical Clinic has undergone some renovations and has made the switch to electronic medical records.

The Kootenay Lake Medical Clinic in Nelson was recently remodelled and updated. The clinic, located in the Chahko Mika Mall, has made the switch to Wolf EMR, cloud-based software for managing patient data.

Owners Peggy Aitken and Paul Lamoureux made some renovations to the interior and exterior of the clinic as well, a reflection of their dedication to the community and residents of Nelson. The clinic is open seven days a week and functions as a family practice. The indoor mall location also offers free unlimited parking, wheelchair access and two pharmacies.

The renovations and upgrades took place at the beginning of February 2014.
