There is nothing better on a cold winter day than taking a long, relaxing soak in Halcyon Hot Springs.

In addition to being a pleasant diversion, soaking in hot springs can help the body to detoxify, relieve stress and relax tired muscles.

Halcyon is heavenly

If you are planning a trip to the Arrow Lakes area, be sure to visit Halcyon Hot Springs Village and Spa. Here you can have an all-encompassing getaway, with a range of outdoor recreation close by, such as cross-country skiing, heli-skiing and snowshoeing. Don’t forget to let yourself be pampered at Halcyon’s spa.

Find it all in Fairmont

Another favourite location is Fairmont Hot Springs, where visitors can test the waters at three different pools. While in the area, you can hone your skills on the slopes at Fairmont Hot Springs Ski Resort, and come back to the hot pools afterwards to soothe your aching muscles.

Tour the caves at Ainsworth

A great destination for “hot spring therapy” is the Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort. With three pools to enjoy, including a 150-foot horseshoe cave, a main lounging pool and a stream-fed cold pool, this resort is ideal for year-round relaxation. The on-site Springs Dining Room also offers a delectable fall/winter menu.

Seeking an adrenalin rush? Ainsworth has several winter recreation facilities in the vicinity, and cat-skiing and heli-skiing can be enjoyed on the nearby terrain.
