You are invited to the grand opening of L Boutique

Nelson’s business landscape is undergoing a transformation, and everyone is invited to celebrate on Saturday, June 23.

That day will see the official opening of L Boutique in the historic Peterson Building at 488 Baker Street. L Boutique is a bigger and better version of Lonnie’s Lingerie, a mainstay of Nelson’s business district at its former location, 464 Baker Street.

L Boutique will not only stock the elegant underthings that Nelson shoppers and visitors have come to appreciate, but also the full line of quality organic Nelson-made Trillium Soaps and Candles.

“On opening day we will have specials, including buy one bra and get the second one for half price, buy one men’s underwear, and get the second one free and 25 per cent off on selected items. Ten per cent of our opening sales will go the Lumber Jackies Roller Derby Team,” said L Boutique owner Tobias Lawrence. “We will be having special events all day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 103.5 FM The Bridge on the premises, along with appearances by DJ Morninglory of Meow Mix, the Lumber Jackies Roller Derby Team with be in house and rolling around with free samples of Trillium products."

They will also have gluten-free goodies from DeLish. As if that isn’t enough, Five Alarm Funk will be making an appearance at 5 p.m. Lawrence also wants to raise funds for the local SPCA, so a penny-drop will be available, as well as information about pet adoptions from a representative of the SPCA who will be present at the opening day.

“Trillium products are handcrafted in Nelson from organic ingredients," said Lawrence. "And we at L Boutique and Trillium Soaps and Candles believe that everyone deserves elegant underthings that accentuate their personal sense of style, along with Mango Lime butterscub. Everyone is invited to join us on this special occasion, and of course we look forward to serving our long-time clients and new friends in the years to come.”
