Sparwood Seniors Society members have something big to celebrate, as the local Seniors Drop In Centre is expanding.

Construction began recently, and a number of brand new additions are planned, such as a foyer with wheelchair ramp and wheelchair opener, a new section added onto the building and updated siding and roofing. 

Several sponsors have teamed up to help make this happen, including Teck, East Kootenay Community Credit Union, Columbia Basin Trust, the Sparwood Futures Society, MDG Contracting  and the Regional District of East Kootenay, among others.
