Good news for snowmobilers and ATVers in Revelstoke and area: Thompson Rivers University is now looking at offering a university-level snowmobile and ATV mechanized adventure tourism training program. The program would be offered in Revelstoke, and it would be the first university-level certification of its kind to be introduced in Canada. This community was chosen due to its fabulous terrain and reputation for being a winter recreation hot spot.

Students could learn essential motorsports-related skills and safety procedures, such as riding skills, avalanche safety, marketing, trail maintenance, business development, resource management and other aspects that are integral to the adventure tourism industry. To find out more, visit the Thompson Rivers University website.
