There are many benefits to using architectural stone veneer—also known as manufactured stone—over natural stone veneer. It is lighter, produces less waste and is less costly. Rick and Stephanie Daniels, the owners of Cranbrook's Grizzly Ridge Stone, are bringing these benefits to Kootenay homeowners.

Daniels and his wife manufacture 11 types of stone veneer, including limestone, classic brick and cobblestone. Manufactured stone comes in a large variety of customizable colours and is easier to install than natural stone, due to its lighter weight. It is durable and maintains colour well.

Grizzly Ridge Stone products include mantles, fireplace hearths and vertical columns. Architectural stone can also be used in walkways, walls and around pools in both exterior and interior settings.

"Our proudest moments have been seeing how well our products have been received by both installers and home owners," said Rick.
