Born and raised in Meadowbrook (in Kimberley, B.C.), Patrick Mohnssen is an automotive service technician with more than 10 years of experience.

He wanted to open a shop of his own for some time, so when Red's Country Store was put up for sale he jumped at the chance. The store is located just down the street from where Mohnssen grew up, and he remembers going there as a boy.

On April 16, 2012, Mohnssen took over the business, renaming it Meadowbrook Motors. He offers general repairs, A/C, brakes and electrical diagnostics, as well as servicing off-road vehicles, dirt bikes and quads. In addition, he sells and services Stihl products and will be carrying Gas Gas off-road motorcycles and accessories.

"(I love) being able to work in my hometown and raise my family the way I grew up," he said, "riding dirt bikes in the summer and powder in the winter. Call 250-427-7690 Monday to Saturday to book your appointment today, and stop by in mid-July to check out the new 2012 Gas Gas dirt bikes."
