Putting their heads together

Renovations are in the future for Rossland's famous Miners Hall, with support from the city and local arts community.

The City of Rossland and the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture (RCAC) have teamed up and pooled their resources in order to create a budget for renovations to the Miners Hall. By partnering together, the City and the RCAC are able to improve funding opportunities and grants for future developments. There was already a plan proposed in March to renovate the hall's attic, and add a green room, storage area, new lighting, stage replacement and window dressings, among other items. Another proposal put forth by the City included structural improvements and landscaping work. The potential developments may take place as early as the spring of 2014.
