Colin Payne, a Nelson-based freelance writer and photographer, can now add business owner to his list of titles. With his new business, Kootenay Petography, he's capturing the bond between owners and their furry friends.

Inspired by his love of his own cat and dog, Payne opened the business and now goes on-site to capture his images. He conducts both indoor and outdoor shoots, and travels with an array of professional photography gear, including lighting equipment. He takes photos for both personal enjoyment, such as pet portraits, and for pet-based businesses.
