Parents take note

Nelson resident Gina Sanche is supporting families during transition periods with her new business, Nest Parent Support. Sanche is serving Nelson and the surrounding communities of Balfour, Winlaw, Ymir and Castlegar, providing physical and emotional support, help with household chores, childminding services and more. Sanche is a trained doula and will be holding postpartum preparation workshops in the summer. These workshops help parents-to-be ready themselves for the period after a birth.

“I think having some help to make the day to day a little easier for families has a positive effect for the whole community," said Sanche. "Feeling rested and cared for can add some light and appreciation for such a full-on job like parenting. I feel so lucky to be able to witness special moments and small victories, the stuff of life that teaches us the most about love.”
