If you’re craving a wardrobe refresh, check out the Red Dresser consignment boutique in Castlegar. Owner Annette Carberry promises “affordable and exceptional” clothing, footwear and accessories from brand names such as Lululemon, Banana Republic, Forever 21 and Ann Taylor.

“We strive to keep our quality high and our prices low,” said Carberry, who opened the Red Dresser in April 2015 and stocks women's clothing, shoes, boots, purses and accessories.

Consignment shopping is a good way to express your style on a budget, but it also fits with a valued West Kootenay ethic: reusing and recycling. At the Red Dresser, any consigned clothing that doesn’t end up in someone’s closet gets donated to local charities.

Visit the Red Dresser at 1502 Columbia Avenue in the No Frills Mall in Castlegar, or check out its Facebook page.
