A downtown Cranbrook landmark—the Armond Theatre on 10th Avenue South—has been purchased by Nena Jean Trimble.

Upgrades and renovations of the building are planned, and Trimble is having discussions with a number of parties to explore usage options. Trimble hopes to develop the Armond building into a centre with multiple functions that will add vitality and entertainment options to downtown Cranbrook.

"I’m excited,” Trimble said. “This building has a lot of history and a lot of potential, and I’d like to see it have a role in the life of Cranbrook’s citizens once again.”
