Woodland Grocery in Cranbrook has a renovated interior

Woodland Grocery, a privately owned neighbourhood grocery store in Cranbrook, has been renovated by its new owners. — Marie Milner photo

In April 2014, Mike and Amy Choi left the metropolis of Busan, South Korea, for a new life in Canada. They settled in Cranbrook in July and took ownership of Woodland Grocery—a neighbourhood landmark at 401 - 14th Avenue South—on August 1. Through December and early January, the couple completed an extensive renovation of the store’s interior. Fresh paint, beautiful new floors, modernized shelving and an enlarged selection of Asian foods make Woodland Grocery an inviting place to stop and shop. Mike and Amy are grateful for the loyalty and support of their staff, friends and customers.
