The former Super 8 motel in Invermere has a new look and a new name—it’s now the Kanata Inn, owned by Best Canadian Motor Inns. It was rebranded in June 2016, and the extensive renovations and upgrades included many much-appreciated extras. “We have some Jacuzzis and kitchenettes, and in our single rooms the queen beds have all been replaced by new king-size beds,” said Sally Davis, the inn’s general manager. Along with its smart, contemporary look and new amenities, the Kanata features the friendly, family-style service that makes it a favourite stopping place in the Columbia Valley.
