Invermere gets a new dining option

by

What started out as a falafel stand at the Invermere farmers markets - and a seasonal eatery in Radium Hot Springs - turned into a hopping restaurant this past spring.

Safta's Restaurant is located in a 1920s heritage home on 7th Avenue, downtown Invermere. The focus is on Middle Eastern cuisine, with some of the recipes being passed down from older generations. The family legacy is well represented - in fact, "safta" is the Hebrew word for grandmother.

In addition to the Middle Eastern menu choices, there are also western dishes available. The meal portions are generous, and the service is known for being exceptional.
