Michelle and Eric Forbes became owners of Kimberley City Bakery, located in the beautiful platzl in Kimberley, B.C., on July 29, 2013.

Their first big change: maximize the amount of product made from scratch on site from about 40 per cent to its present 100 per cent. City Bakery is eagerly awaiting the next big change: delivery of a custom-built Italian leavening machine—it makes a starter agent (think yeast) for leavened bakery products—the first of its kind in Canada. Prepare to love your City Bakery breads more than ever.
