In September 2011, Warfield Take-out opened its doors, offering Chinese food with a twist.

Initially owners Lance and Soo Ewasiuk brought in the popular Chinese dishes that the locals had been craving, and then they began to add Western dishes such as pizza, which were also well received.

They previously owned a bakery in Nova Scotia, and some loyal customers requested the sweet potato bread that had made them famous back east. Warfield Take-out evolved from there, and now offers an eclectic variety of bakery items (including gluten-free choices), hand-made pizza and Chinese food with sauces made from scratch. The community of Warfield has welcomed the business warmly, and plans are in the works for further expansion of Soo's famously delicious gluten-free products.
