Dance for joy

by

Situated in the West Arm Plaza in Nelson, the Dance Connection is the new dance studio that everyone is talking about. The studio offers registration-based and drop-in classes, with a team of instructors that teach all different styles of dance. Instructor Melody Parenteau is teaching a stretching workout specifically for dancers called Essentrics. Slava Doval teaches folk fusion, Lynette Lightfoot offers Zumba and ballet, and Michelle MacLean specializes in tap, hip-hop and jazz techniques.

Full-length mirrors help the learning process, as does the studio's flooring, which makes dancing easier and safer. There are classes for all experience levels, from complete beginners to those who wish to perform professionally. More plans are in the works for additional styles of dance to be offered in the months to come. To find out more, email [email protected].
