Come to Maggie’s

by

Located at 502 Columbia Avenue in Castlegar is a newly revamped coffee shop called Maggie's Mug. Laura Wiltsey is the new owner, following her lifelong dream of running her own business after 30 years of experience in the culinary sector. Formerly known as the Kootenay Roost, Maggie's Mug has been renamed after the Wiltsey's cheerful canine companion.

Wiltsey had just spent the past five years working as a head chef at the Black Rooster before her decision to purchase the Kootenay Roost. She has Red Seal certification and significant expertise under her belt, so we can't wait to see what she comes up with as she expands her menu in the future. Currently, she offers a delicious range of items including Oso Negro and Canterbury coffee, specialty beverages, breakfast scones, banana bread and more. Check out the Maggie's Mug Facebook page to learn more.
