Chocolate affairs

Maureen Wetsch, the owner of Ambrosia Artisan Chocolates, looks at chocolate with a fresh perspective.

“Chocolate is such a well-known food, and it’s so often loved by people,” said Wetsch. “I’m exploring different avenues of this thing we call chocolate.”

Wetsch is offering tastings and workshops along with her delicious—and occasionally unusual—chocolate goods. Ingrediants such as various herbs, rose oil, hemp hearts and corn can all be found on the ingrediant lists; inspiration for her creations come from everything from hummingbirds to traditional Mayan chocolate. Wetsch brings in cacao from South America to use in her Riondel-based company.
