In the community of Nicholson, near Golden, B.C., you can visit 838 Canyon Creek Road and take a look at Kicking Horse Embroidery's latest creations. Susan Leigan has recently taken sole ownership of the shop and moved it into her home. There are already two other businesses (Golden Junk and Liegan Enterprises) at the busy Leigan household, which is home to Susan, her husband Jerry, and their two children, Edward and Rayanne.

Kicking Horse Embroidery offers screen printing, heat press transfers, men's and women's apparel, seamstress and alteration services, and of course, embroidery.

"I am excited to announce that I have started distributing safety apparel," said Leigan. "Companies can have their logo and employee name embroidered on the products. I have supplied small and large orders locally as well as to other British Columbia and Alberta regions. With the modern shipping of today I can ship products anywhere. I pride myself on supplying quality products and personal service."
