90 years and going strong

by

In a time when the economy can present a challenge, it's nice to hear stories of enduring business success. Hipperson's Home Hardware in Nelson is certainly in that category. In September 2013 the family-owned company celebrated its 90th anniversary. The store has two locations, one downtown and one at the lakeside.

Hipperson's Home Hardware employs approximately 60 people between the lumber yard and retail sections, and many of the employees and managers have been there for ten years or longer. The company has so far been owned and run by four generations of the Horswill family, and they plan to pass on the legacy for many generations to come. To contact the store, call 250-352-5517.
