Stacey and Trevor Dunsby own Hide Away Kennels in Kimberley. They bought the kennel in 2007 and love the lifestyle in the Kootenays. Kootenay Business spoke to Stacey to find out her family's summer favourites.

What are your favourite activities in the summer in the Kootenays?

We love to golf at Trickle Creek (Resort) in Kimberley and fly-fish on the St. Mary River; we also like dirt biking, riding the quads and camping. Trevor loves to go camping with whoever he can find to camp with!

What are your favourite places in the summer?

We love going to Lazy Lake to canoe in the summer. You are never bored around here. Taking the dogs to Cherry Creek Falls is great.

Where do you like to vacation in the Kootenays?

We always go back East for holidays to see family—but it's fun to come back (to the Kootenays).
