“All failure is failure to adapt, all success is successful adaptation.”― Max McKeown

A lot has changed since 1985 when we launched the premier edition of Kootenay Business magazine. One thing we have learned from covering successful entrepreneurs throughout the Kootenays over the years is that the ones willing to be flexible and change are the ones that have stayed successful. Now, Kootenay Business is keeping up with our forward-thinking readers and following their example with a big change of our own. Kootenay Business has decided to move into the future by becoming a digital-only publication.

Today, everyone has a mobile device and can access information on their interests within arm’s reach. For our mobile readers, that means we can now provide you with the latest news from Kootenay Business wherever you are. While we know many of you still enjoy getting the magazine in the mail, the majority of our advertisers are moving their budget to digital distribution, and Kootenay Business has decided to follow that trend.

Here are some questions that you may have about Kootenay Business:

Is this goodbye?

No, not at all. Kootenay Business promises to provide you with the same important stories that you have grown to rely on, just in a digital format.

Why is this the last print issue of Kootenay Business magazine?

Consumer habits are evolving rapidly, and Kootenay Business is looking to the future and not the past as a vehicle to provide stories for our valued readers. While we know many of you still enjoy getting the magazine in the mail, the majority of our advertisers are moving their budget to digital distribution and Kootenay Business wants to follow that trend as well.

How can I get Kootenay Business now?

So glad you asked. The best way to make sure you won’t miss out on new stories, products, features, events, destination ideas and more is to sign up to our email newsletter. You can go to kootenaybiz.com/subscribe to subscribe to Kootenaybiz.com online and you won’t miss a thing.

How many email newsletters will I get?

Kootenay Business is planning on increasing our email newsletters from monthly to weekly. Starting in November, we will send out four editions. Watch for the new streamlined eNewsletter coming to your inbox on Thursdays starting in November. But don’t worry, Kootenay Business respects your inbox, and we promise not to misuse your trust by inundating you with spam or selling your address to a third party.

Is there any other way to get updates from Kootenay Business?

Of course. Kootenay Business is on all the popular social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and we encourage you to follow along and give us a like or mention. Just search for Kootenaybiz on your favourite social media platform.
