The Studio and Stage Door theatre hosts some fantastic live performances.

Cranbrook has been making tremendous strides in the arts and culture department, with new developments and established favourites coming together to make a hub of creativity.

Galleries galore

One of the ways that Cranbrook has expanded its artistic impact is through the addition of a brand new gallery. Fisher Peak Art Gallery is the pride and joy of Nicole Leblond and her husband, Larry Leblond. This fresh development has had immense support from the community, and exposes some brilliant local talent.

The Artrageous Art Gallery also exhibits art pieces created with a range of different media. This facility is also the home of the Cranbrook and District Arts Council, an organization devoted to the promotion of visual, literary and performing arts in the Cranbrook region.

Passionate performances

Theatre lovers can also find plenty to do in Cranbrook. The Studio and Stage Door theatre, located in a classic heritage building just off main street, showcases live theatre performances to the delight of often sold-out audiences.

In addition, Key City Theatre is a venue for both local and visiting performers. The 2011 schedule includes magician Ted Outerbridge in February, blues musician Harry Manx in March, Circus Terrifico in April and comedian Roman Danylo in May.
