Kootenay Business alumna Tanya Laing Gahr is the new Corporate Communications Advisor with FortisBC, which provides natural gas and electric service to numerous communities throughout the Kootenay region. In her role, Laing Gahr is responsible for media relations, crisis communications and developing communication strategies for FortisBC Indigenous & Community Relations and Sustainability & Environment programs. Prior to her position with FortisBC, Laing Gahr was senior writer for Kootenay Business for five years as well as Business Development Officer with TerraLogic Exploration and Communications Officer with City of Vernon.
