Gourmet popcorn, made-on-site cotton candy, sugar-and-spice mini-doughnuts, pick-a-pop, British chocolate including Yorkie and 99 Flake—the list of sweet treats available at Aw Sweet Candy Co. goes on. This heavenly hideaway, located on Hot Springs Road near Tony’s Greek Grill in Fairmont Hot Springs, opened on Good Friday, 2017. Its summer hours are still variable, but owner Kelly Schaal promises the shop will be open every day, at least through the Labour Day weekend. Schaal promises to have her products tested frequently for freshness by a couple of young tasting experts who absolutely can’t wait to get to work.
