Maggie Spizzirri, the spirited and creative force behind Moxie Marketing in Revelstoke, is a passionate believer in the power of honest communication and hard work. It’s the cornerstone of her successful business—by helping her clients achieve their dreams, she, in turn, has realized her own.

A Platinum award winner in the new category of Website Designer/Developer in Kootenay Business’ Best of Business Awards for 2017, Spizzirri was honoured to answer a few questions for us.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

Camping and outdoor life is my happy place. I’m far more productive and come up with all of my best designs and marketing strategies when I spend time exploring.

How has your business evolved over time?

When I started Moxie Marketing, I had one client and had just changed every single aspect in my life on a hope and a dream. Today, I have a great base of clients whom I love working with and believe in wholeheartedly (including that original client). I get to live a great life on my own terms while helping my clients achieve their dreams. There’s nothing better than that!

What’s a recent trend in your business that you’re excited about?

With social media and advancing technology the best way to succeed is to be open. It is what my business is now based completely around: honest communication. People love to experience who you are and what you offer first-hand. It’s a very exciting time.

What activity is your passion outside of work?

I can’t say that I have one single passion outside of work. Waterskiing is my newest fun passion that I’ve fallen head-over-heels for. Going for a boat ride with my partner and our dog is my peaceful passion. And helping animals and giving back is my life-fulfilling passion. I am also the co-ordinator of the Revelstoke Bear Aware Society and volunteer and complete all kinds of wonderful projects through our local Revelstoke Rotary Club for which I am the president this year. Every piece helps and fulfills.

Who is your hero and why?

My parents have been supportive throughout my whole life. They’ve allowed and pushed me to do my best and never judged when it was something they may not have understood. My friends and the people I surround myself with are each a hero to me as well. They inspire, surprise and teach me new things and I couldn’t be more grateful to have them all in my life. And my partner believes in me without question.
