The Rossland Legion hosted the 3rd annual Arnie Sherwood Memorial Funspiel on Sunday, March 18th.

The winners of the "A" trophy are: Ron Snyder, lead, Bob Stanton, 2nd, Richard Drew and Rob Darrah, skip.

The winners of the "B" trophy are: Ken Stephenson, 3rd, Iris Bengzer, lead, Bill Pettigrew, skip. Julie Bilesky, 2nd, is missing from the photo.

This one-day bonspiel is hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #14 in Rossland on an annual basis, in memory of Arnie Sherwood, who ran the event for many years. This year there were 48 curlers who enjoyed the day that included three meals, three curling games, four top prizes, a booby prize and a full day of camaraderie and fun.

There were 15 curlers from the Nelson area that participated this year thanks to the effort of Gene Mauriello, who sparked interest and arranged rides.
