The Property Lab team moved on January 1, 2014, to Fair Realty at the Nelson Trading Company Building at 402 Baker Street.

The Property Lab is a team of realtors with a focus on using new techniques to market properties and a dedicated-agent approach to working with buyers. The team uses tools like HD video to provide buyers and sellers with information.

Customer expectations are rising in the industry, according to partner Tad Lake, and he and his partners work hard to stay well ahead of the curve.

"Our market is a kind of laboratory where we innovate, test and roll out proven ways to make buying and selling easier, hence the name," said Lake.

"Clients have been coming to us for years, not because of the brokerage we were with, but because of who we are and what we offer for services," said Lake regarding the move. "We felt Fair Realty offers agents a great balance of support and service, combined with the flexibility to allow agents to work independently and build their business and their personal brand. Operating under our own brand, the brand we've been building for the last two years, was a logical progression."

Lake and his team are at top of their market in terms of transaction sides, and they'd like to continue to grow those numbers for their sellers and buyers.

"We had a great year in 2013 and our market is showing more momentum," said Lake. "We're also closely watching the return of Alberta recreation dollars to our area after the correction in 2008-2009. Numbers are way up in Radium and Invermere and those buyers are slowly starting to move further west."
