Sign your child up for a Life Essentials First Aid Babysitters certificate

With a shortage of childcare available due to the pandemic, many parents are scrambling to find responsible care for their children. Affiliated with the Lifesaving Society of BC/YK and the Canadian Red Cross, the Life Essentials First Aid Babysitters certificate course prepares your older child and teenager with the essential skills needed to care for younger children. This course teaches general first aid topics, how to administer first aid, how to make wise choices when home alone, choking procedures, making a first aid kit and how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly during a pandemic. Also covered are creating playtime activities, making healthy snacks and how to care for babies. Build confidence and set your child up for success. 

Date: Friday, October 23
Location: TBD, but either the Nelson Chamber of Commerce - 91 Baker St, Nelson OR the Prestige Lakeside Resort - 701 Lakeside Dr, Nelson.
Cost: $80/per child.
