Cranbrook realtor Sandy Smith leads the way with the introduction of cutting-edge on-location QR code technology.

Digital technology is taking off everywhere and industry insiders predict that QR (Quick Response) code usage will continue to skyrocket in North America.

“I now have QR Codes posted on-location at every one of my listings, that will allow consumers to scan them with their smartphones and see detailed property information for the listing—such as square footage, number of rooms, price and other details,” said Sandy Smith, a realtor at Royal Lepage, East Kootenay Realty in Cranbrook. “QR codes allow people to stand in front of a listed home and use a QR reader on their smartphone to scan a QR code on the yard sign in seconds and access detailed information about the home they are in front of.”

QR codes are big in Japan, used widely in Asia, Europe and Australia and are now starting to take off in North America. Realtor Sandy Smith is pleased to introduce them to Cranbrook and the Kootenay marketplace. The real estate industry is one of the most technology intensive industries and this new QR code technology is another innovation to make it easier for buyers and sellers to get together.

“My main goal as a real estate professional is to market our seller’s properties to as many people as possible and to give buyers access to that information in as many ways as possible,” said Smith. “Using QR codes allows me to achieve both of these goals while reducing the time needed to achieve this. As the first realtor in our area to use this new technology I am excited to share my expertise with buyers and sellers in our area."

If you are considering selling your home and are located in the Cranbrook area, please contact Sandy Smith by calling 250-421-0835 so she can discuss her comprehensive marketing plan to list and sell your house fast—now including the use of on-location QR codes—the newest digital technology available.
