Located on Cranbrook's busy Victoria Avenue, Westland Insurance, an authorized ICBC agent, has opened a new branch—though technically in the same building as their previous East Kootenay Insurance office, the new location has more street visibility and is roughly three times larger. Westland Insurance, a B.C.-based insurance provider, which purchased the assets of East Kootenay Insurance from owner Phillip Jones over a year ago and now operates two branches in Cranbrook, the new one on Victoria Avenue and the original location in downtown Cranbrook next to East Kootenay Realty on Tenth Avenue.

Kelly Holdsworth is the branch manager at Westland's new Victoria location. Westland also purchased from East Kootenay Insurance two other branches and now operates insurance outlets in both Invermere and Fernie.

The spacious new office on Victoria presents a welcoming atmosphere for prospective insurance customers.

Westland has 57 locations in 32 communities throughout southern British Columbia. Westland Insurance Group has grown into one of the largest community-based independent insurance brokerages in the province.
