A dive team from Northern Underwater Services had been inspecting the underwater concrete work.

Kootenay Business magazine was recently given an exclusive behind the scene look at the massive new Waneta Dam Expansion Project.  The $900 million project is complete and it will soon be handed over to Fortis, who is a 51% owner, to run and operate.

On the day of our behind-the-scenes tour of the Waneta project we would privileged to capture a dive team from Northern Underwater Services (NUS) busy at work inspecting the underwater concrete work as part of the commissioning of the dam for full operation.

A diver was exiting the water just in time for us to capture his ascent and his support team helping him remove this bulky diving suit.
