Kootenay Business magazine was recently given an exclusive behind the scene look at the massive new Waneta Dam Expansion Project. The $900 million project is complete and it will soon be handed over to Fortis, who is a 51% owner, to run and operate.

In this third video, Audrey Repin, spokesperson for the Waneta Expansion Project and Director of Stakeholder and External Relations for Columbia Power Corporation explains some the positive impact this project had on the economy of the Kootenays.

With the Pend d’Oreille River surging in the background Audrey talks about the employment the project created and the involvement it offered to first nation’s people.
