Vista Radio re-brands Mountain FM into “The GOAT”

In the second re-branding in as many weeks Vista Radio, based in Castlegar, has rebranded their Mountain FM station into The GOAT – this comes on the heels of rebranding The Bridge in Nelson into The Juice 103.5.

“What the heck is the GOAT? We hear you ask. It stands for Greatest Of All Time – world class rock and roll from the 60’s to today. That’s exactly what you’ll hear whenever you’re tuned in to GOAT FM – the new sound from Vista Radio’s favorite all local radio station,” states Head Goat, Kevin Einarson.

"Broadcasting from Castlegar to Trail, Rossland to Nelson, Grand Forks to Playmor Junction THE GOAT’s goal is to bring you a blend of rock that truly is the Greatest Of All Time - in your car, office, on the beach, lake or mountain top! The Goat’s play list will include the sounds of:- Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, AC-DC, The Tragically Hip, Pearl Jam, and Foo Fighters. “But it’s not just the Greatest Of All Time music,“ added THE NEW GOAT- GM Kevin Einarson.

“Everyone in the region knows about our famed dedication to great local radio – through our local involvement, news and sports. So I’m delighted to offer this great rock mix along with our trusted local focus to our community and advertisers. If there’s an event or a cause we’re here for you.”

Einarson says the station also has a new name for their morning show featuring John Helm and Jenny Fines. It’s called The Morning Herd ...what else!"

“This is a great fresh spin on our old classics!” according to Helm and Fines. “We want our listeners to rock it with these greatest tracks from all time,”

As ever a big part of what we do is great local information. “We’re in the business of providing our communities with the best in local news and sports” says News Director Glenn Hicks. “The new GOAT will keep doing just that.”
