Kimberley continues to position itself as the unique dining experience capital of the Kootenays.  Some are suggesting that Kimberley, with more than 40 dining establishments, has more dining options per capita than many small towns anywhere.  This is obviously good for the local dining scene, enhances the visitor experience and attracts diners from neighbouring communities throughout the Kootenays.

The folks behind the award winning and highly popular Pedal and Tap restaurant in Kimberley's Platzl have expanded with the creation of a second restaurant called The Shed.

The Pedal and Tap has quickly grown to be one of the region's most sought out dining experiences, especially after the eatery scored an appearance on cable television's popular "You Gotta Eat Here" program hosted on the Food Network.

The Shed, which is located just around the corner from the original Pedal and Tap and across from the Platzl fountains, is open Wednesday to Sunday.  It sports an equally unique menu with dishes such as cast iron fondue, dobler dog, northern nachos, the big tool, green machine, hunter's calzone and greek souvlaki -- and a wide array of beers to choose from.

The Shed also features an unique format dining experience with the restaurant facing right out into the platzl.

So being taken out to the shed now promises to be a tasty thing.  Bon Appetite!
