The William Cole Companies, a Spring, Texas developer who owns premier ski in, ski out commercial land at the base of Red Mountain Resort in Rossland, British Columbia is planning an iconic hotel on the site.

The company recently applied for a development permit for a new 107 room hotel at the base of Red Mountain. At a recent Rossland City Council meeting a development permit for the hotel was approved and issued.

The new hotel will reportedly include a restaurant, wellness spa and meeting rooms in addition to the 107 hotel rooms. Plans are to construct the new hotel between the existing lodge and the Slalom Creek development only steps away from Red Mountain’s ski runs.

It is anticipated that the new hotel will employ over 100 people of which around 40 would be full time.

No schedule for construction start up has been finalized at this point.
