Support available for environmental projects
Application deadline for CBT’s Environmental Initiative Program grants is March 18.
Columbia Basin residents and groups wishing to help maintain or enhance environmental conditions in and around their communities are invited to submit innovative project ideas to the Environmental Initiatives Program (EIP) of Columbia Basin Trust (CBT). The application deadline is March 18, 2011.
“Last year, the Environmental Initiatives Program was able to support 51 projects that are making a difference in Basin communities,” said Rick Allen, CBT program manager, environment. “We hope this year’s increased budget of $690,000 will allow CBT to be even more effective in helping environmental projects across the Basin come to fruition.”
The EIP includes a small grants stream, geared at projects under $10,000 (increased from $5,000 in 2010/11) and a large grants stream for projects up to $20,000.
CBT delivers economic, social and environmental benefits to the residents of the Columbia Basin. To learn more about CBT programs and initiatives, visit www.cbt.org or call 1-800-505-8998
