Stetski brings all levels of government together to support small business
Wayne Stetski, Member of Parliament for Kootenay-Columbia, will host the second in a series of Small Business Forums.
Cranbrook – Wayne Stetski, Member of Parliament for Kootenay-Columbia, will host the second in a series of Small Business Forums in Invermere on March 1st. The Invermere Small Business Forum will provide Columbia Valley business owners with the opportunity to address representatives from federal, provincial and municipal governments on how they can better support small businesses in the region.
“Small businesses are the drivers of our local economies. They provide jobs which support our families and keep rural communities vibrant,” Stetski said. “During the election I made a commitment to small business owners that I would work with all levels of government towards improving the business climate in our region. The business forums are an important step in fulfilling that commitment.”
“We know rural small businesses face a range of challenges”, Stetski added. “It is important for policy makers to hear first-hand how their decisions affect the day to day operations of the businesses that our communities rely on.”
Stetski will head a panel of representatives from the three levels of government. All business owners throughout the Columbia Valley are invited to join the Forum and participate in this opportunity to share ideas on sustaining and growing their businesses.
The Invermere Small Business Forum will be held March 1, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Circle Café, 926 – 7th Ave. Unit 2, in Invermere.
There is no fee for attending. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected] or by calling Stetski’s Cranbrook office at 250-417-2250.
