Want to be part of the largest and fastest growing LinkedIn group in the Kootenays? Kootenay Business magazine has recently launched the Kootenay Business Network (KBN) on the business and social media site LinkedIn.

What is LinkedIn? It is largest business social media site in the world with over 80 million users. The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business.

"The Kootenay Business Network, an extension of Kootenay Business magazine and its newly revamped website www.kootenaybiz.com. It allows members to post business questions, suggestions, events and participate in business communciation and discussion throughout the region," said publisher, Keith Powell. "We believe this is of great value for businesses small and large to be able to connect, despite the spread-out geography of the Kootenays."

Kootenay Business Network already has 130 members and it's the fastest growing Kootenay group on LinkedIn. Some of the most popular discussions so far have revolved around business coaching, mentoring and shop local initiatives.
