Shoemaker Drywall Supplies has moved to a new home on Cranbrook’s Theatre Road—the former long time location of Long Valley Steel.  Previously, Shoemaker was located at the west end of Cranbrook just off of Van Horne Street.

According to the Cranbrook branch manager Derek Ansley, the new location gives himself and his staff of six a lot more room to work with including a showroom that features drywall tools, equipment and supplies. “Our new location is over 15,000 square feet, so it is a lot bigger than our former location,” he said.

Shoemaker Drywall Supplies is part of larger network of drywall outlets stretching across western Canada and recently they expanded into Ontario and Quebec with the merger of several companies there to make WSB Titan.

In 1974 Clare Shoemaker, along with his wife Judy and other family members founded and opened the first Shoemaker Drywall Supplies (SDS) yard in Lethbridge, Alberta. Almost forty years later SDS has become one of the largest drywall suppliers in Western Canada with ten branches across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. As the Western Canadian division of WSB Titan, SDS has continued to diversify their product offering with the addition of several new product lines such as roofing, insulation, ceiling systems, steel studs, tools of the trade, and much more.

Shoemaker Drywall Supplies is now located at 1600 Theatre Road in Cranbrook. For more info www.shoemakerdrywall.com
