Sean Campbell new Community Futures East Kootenay GM

Community Futures East Kootenay (CFEK) has announced that Sean Campbell is their new general manager.

He brings a broad and impressive range of professional skills and experience to this position. Campbell has a great interest and awareness of local and regional issues which will ensure a proactive and creative approach to working with partners, stakeholders and a variety of key organizations on economic development and business related initiatives.

CFEK board members are confident Campbell's experience in business lending, management consulting, operations management and strategic planning will prove invaluable. Previously he worked at the BDC and HSBC banks.

Campbell made Cranbrook his home over 10 years ago and has demonstrated a determined commitment to economic and social prosperity in the area ever since. Following a number of years as director on the Cranbrook & District Chamber of Commerce board, he was elected to serve two years as president in 2010 and 2011.

Campbell has also served on the City of Cranbrook economic development committee (2011-2012) and as a Sam Steele Society director (2008-2011).

Sean Campbell replaces longtime CFEK general manager, Rob Gay who is retiring.
