Located on the busy and congested Wooden Head Park loop in Revelstoke, next to McDonald’s and A&W, the construction of a new Petro Canada gas station and Starbucks is well underway

Located just off Highway 1 the site is being developed by Encora Engineering and will feature a full service Petro Canada gas station and convenience store,  as well as a sit-down and take-out Starbucks coffee shop. Bylaw variant applications for a taller than allowed Petro Canada sign, less parking spaces and more seating area for Starbucks were turned down by the City of Revelstoke.  The complex will have 12 parking spaces available.

“It’s no secret to anybody in the community that this intersection is already a huge problem and this is going to add more congestion to it,” Mark McKee, Revelstoke’s mayor, said in a local media interview.

With the foundation installed and framing just underway, no completion date for the project is available, but it would appear that it will be ready sometime in early 2016.
