Popular Cranbrook lodge expanding

Once the expansion at the Lodge is complete, there will an additional four rooms plus a fitness centre.

Concrete is being poured, foundations constructed, pipes and plumbing installed, framing is under way and roof trusses being hoisted into position as construction work on the third expansion phase of Cranbrook's popular Elizabeth Lake Lodge is underway.

Located at the west entrance of Cranbrook, the awarding winning accommodation is owned and operated by George and Rachel Freitag.  Currently at 25 rooms, once the expansion is complete the Lodge with have 29 rooms.

"This expansion is part of our overall vision when we first took over Elizabeth Lake Lodge," said George Freitag.  "This is our third and final project. Each year we have been upgrading something at the Lodge, whether it's the mini-golf, the rooms or our first expansion several years ago."

The expansion will see 4 new 2-bedroom suites added and as well as a fitness center.  The new rooms will feature amenties like heated towels, heated tile floors and Denby dishes from England.

The Lodge has won the coveted Trip Advisor Travellers' Choice Hotel Award six years in a row along with a number of other awards including one from the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce.

Elizabeth Lake Lodge boasts the finest beds in Cranbrook guaranteed. The majority of rooms have a full kitchen and all of the rooms have a view of the Elizabeth Lake Bird Sanctuary. The Bird Sanctuary is adjacent to the Lodge and a very easy walk for everyone.
