Dick Griffith and Petra Ware have opened a new brightly decorated retail location.

Less than three years after a devastating fire razed their businesses and home, in downtown Cranbrook, Dick Griffith and Petra Ware have opened a new brightly decorated retail location.

The 800 square foot retail location doubles the size of their temporary store which was in the same small strip mall just off of Victoria Avenue in Cranbrook.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the couple has overcome tremendous challenges (including having their insurance denied) to re-open Interior Trophy and Engraving and Petra Naturally. Dick Griffith has owned and operated Interior Sports since 1978 and is the go-to-place for trophies, awards, plaques, jewelry and watch engraving, desk and door signs, and name tags.

"I lost everything, from my business to my socks, in the fire. That's why we are so happy to be in our new store. It is been a lot of hard work to get here but I think the results have been worth it," said Dick, looking around his spacious new premises.

Part of the work of recovering from the fire saw Dick's restoring dozens and dozens of digital logo files for his various clients.

The new store is shared by Petra Ware's growing business, Petra Naturally. Petra produces a line of over 100 handmade bath and body products, which she crafts by hand right in the store -- adding much colour and a potpourri of wonderful scents to the shop.

"People love the fact that I make these products right here in the store and that allows me to custom make products with the exact scents and texture they might like," said Petra.
In addition to the bath and body products, Petra also has a counter which sells over 100 loose-leaf teas and an exquisite line of teapots.

You will find the new home of Interior Sports and Petra Naturally at 2104D - 2nd Street South in Cranbrook.
