With their Annual General Meeting coming up in Revelstoke on October 6 & 7, Kootenay Rockies Tourism, the Kootenay's regional destination marketing organization is requesting your nominations and input.  Here is your chance to recognize outstanding businesses and business leaders in the tourism sector in the Kootenay Rockies region.  Kootenay Rockies is looking for nominations for Business Person of the Year, Business of the Year and Hospitality and Tourism operator/business of the year.

We all know there are many dedicated, unsung heros of the tourism industry—people who really deserve some recognition for their dedication and diligence in promoting tourism and making the visitor experience a great one throughout the Kootenays. 

Kootenay Rockies Tourism asks you to please take two minutes to name your nominee for each of the three award categories:

BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR

A business person who:

  • has made an outstanding contribution to the regional tourism industry.
  • displays outstanding leadership and vision in the business community.
  • contributes to the social, cultural and economic well-being of their staff and to their community.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

A business that:

  • is a recognized leader in the industry and the community.
  • exemplifies industry best practices in all aspects of its operation.
  • is regarded as an industry leader with a strong reputation for their business success.

HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM

A business that:

  • goes above and beyond providing extraordinary customer service and recognizes the importance of hospitality.
  • has a commitment to service excellence for their visitors, employees, suppliers and to other stakeholders.
  • captures the essence of the Kootenay Rockies experience.
