Owned and operated by the mother and son team of Carol and Kyle Tran, Cranbrook's newest ethic food restaurant is now open.

It is called the Pho Saigon Restaurant and its menu specializes in authentic Thai and Vietnamese food.

The new restaurant offers both eat-in and take-out service. Their menu features soups, appies, pho, hot pot and hot plates, stir fries, vermicelli, Thai cuisine and a wide variety of rice dishes. Pho Saigon is definitely proving popular as their establishment is buzzing with a crowd of diners throughout the day.

The Pho Saigon is located at 535 Victoria Ave., next to Save-On-Foods and is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday — 11 am to 9 pm. They can be contacted at 778 517 3456.

The location was most recently home to The Bear's Beanery and before that for many years Max's Place.
